The Barbados Museum and Historical Society is inviting participants aged 18-25 to register for a free Summer Intensive in 3D photogrammetry, as part of the EU-LAC Museums project. 3D photogrammetry involves photographing objects and mapping the images to re-create the object in a 3D animated form. Currently 3D images of artefacts in the Barbados Museum collection can be found on the platform Sketchfab: https://sketchfab.com/eu-lac- 3D/collections/barbados-museum- and- historical-society This free Summer Intensive aims to share the skills in 3D photogramming through training with participants aged 18-25. The Intensive proposes to be across two weeks in July 2018, based at the Barbados Museum, with a combination of tutorials and hands on practice, culminating in presentations of ‘virtual exhibitions’ from each participant. At the end of the programme participants will receive a certificate of completion.
